2023 Review

Wow – so that was 2023!

There have been charity runs, inflatable assault courses, scavenger hunts, wine tastings, casino nights, football tournaments, fayres, and even fireworks!  Leysbrook has supported small businesses, promoted events and helped charities raise much-needed funds for lots of worthwhile projects.

At the Fireworks I had the privilege of standing on a stage in front of nearly 3000 attendees from in-and-around-Baldock and said the event was “positive proof about the power of saying yes,” to doing great things in your community.  “Yes” to trying, to giving it a go, to testing a new idea once – maybe twice to make sure.  To pushing forward and working with amazing people to pull together something really special to be enjoyed by everyone around you – and for the benefit of some amazing charities too.

I have a wonderful role at Leysbrook as Philanthropy and Partnership Leader; I get to support great causes – some close to my heart, some new to the table – some supporting children, adults or anyone in need of fundraising help.  Last year I smashed through my own target of £20k, generated by involvement in all sorts of local projects and it was a privilege to help.

I am proud to support small businesses too; independent and reputable local firms that are delivering great service and helping in their own way to build and grow the community in which we live and work.  Please join our Community on Facebook or Instagram by searching for “Baldock & Letchworth”.

2023 you’ve been awesome but now let’s roll on to 2024!
